My inspiration for making the Energy Granola Bars came from my daughters’ upcoming vacation to Tokyo later this week. I thought they would be a welcome treat to find in their bags at a time when they needed a quick snack. Granola bars don’t always fall into the category of a healthy snack, but these certainly do! They are quick to assemble, easy to make, and best of all, delicious! I used brown rice syrup which I found at Whole Foods. For the dried fruit, I used a mixture of golden raisins, cranberries, cherries, and apricots. I wrapped them individually to make them portable. Definitely will be a repeat treat in our house!
Individually wrapping — great idea! And your bars look great!

Is that the tea towel you got from the publisher, for pre-ordering? I want one badly!

Yes it is. I ordered when I preordered the book. I would check with the publisher. You would just need your receipt if pastille available.
